    Head of the Portland Police, Superintendent Ainsley McCarthy, says yesterday’s apprehension in reference to latest bomb threats at two Portland-based faculties was not the primary arrest to be made in relation to the act.

    Superintendent McCarthy made the declaration, following considerations raised yesterday by the President of the Jamaica Lecturers’ Affiliation, Mark Malabver.

    Yesterday morning, a bomb risk disrupted lessons on the Portland Excessive College, days after an analogous incident on the close by Port Antonio Excessive.

    Mr. Malabver informed IRIE FM Information that there had been a number of bomb threats at instructional establishments in recent times and expressed concern that the police weren’t utilizing their assets to carry perpetrators accountable.

    Nonetheless, later within the day, a baby was apprehended in relation to the 2 Portland incidents.

    Talking on the matter this morning, Superintendent McCarthy confused that the JCF has the capability to carryout thorough investigations into bomb threats and make the required arrests.
