    Education Ministry investigating attack on student at Holy Faith Convent – Jamaica Inquirer

    The Ministry of Schooling has responded to experiences of a violent confrontation at Holy Religion Convent, Couva, saying it’s investigating the incident.

    Photographs had been shared on social media of the incident which occurred on Tuesday, exhibiting a bunch of women attacking a scholar simply exterior the varsity’s gates.

    The Ministry mentioned the incident has understandably raised important public concern.

    Schooling Minister Michael Dowlath has known as for a complete investigation into the matter.

    “The Ministry is working in shut collaboration with the varsity’s administration and all related authorities to make sure an intensive assessment is performed and that the suitable measures are taken.

    “The Ministry of Schooling unequivocally condemns all types of violence throughout the faculty atmosphere. The Honourable Minister has reiterated that such behaviour is not going to be tolerated underneath any circumstances.

    “Colleges should stay secure, respectful areas for all college students, and any breach of this customary will likely be addressed with the utmost seriousness.”

    The Ministry mentioned it stays dedicated to upholding the security and well-being of all college students and employees throughout the training system.
