Manchester, Jamaica – The Manchester police have launched a probe into the homicide of a person throughout an early morning armed theft at his dwelling and bar within the normally quiet neighborhood of Banana Floor.

The deceased has been recognized as Omar Allen, a vendor. Studies are that shortly after 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, Allen heard unusual noises coming from the bar adjoining his dwelling, which is operated by his partner. When he went to research, he was shot by gunmen who have been allegedly trying to rob the institution.

Allen was later pronounced useless, leaving his household and neighborhood in shock.

His brother, Christopher Allen, described the incident as traumatic, noting that the household continues to be grieving one other relative who was laid to relaxation simply final week.

“It’s exhausting. We buried one already, and now this,” stated a visibly shaken Christopher Allen. “This neighborhood nuh used to those issues.”

Residents say the killing has disturbed the peace of Banana Floor, a neighborhood not recognized for violent crime.

In the meantime, Mario Mitchell, councillor for the Bellefield division, has expressed concern over the latest spate of killings within the parish.

“We’re seeing too many lives being misplaced in a brief house of time. The neighborhood is frightened, and pressing intervention is required,” Mitchell stated.

Allen’s killing comes on the heels of two different homicides in Manchester this week. On Thursday morning, 26-year-old dancer Brittania Francis, often known as ‘DHQ Rooster’, was shot and killed at a bar in Richmond. That very same afternoon, 37-year-old Klane Farquharson was fatally stabbed throughout a dispute with a fruit vendor in New Inexperienced.

Police investigations into all three incidents are ongoing.

Anybody with info on these crimes is urged to contact the Manchester Police, Crime Cease at 311, or the closest police station
