The Tourism Housing Help Restoration Programme (THARP) which was formally launched yesterday is meant to help about 5000 staff whose houses had been broken by hurricane Melissa.

Talking on the launch, Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett mentioned the Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF) has allotted $70 million to offer housing vouchers valued at $100,000 to every employee.

He mentioned 5 block and metal houses for staff might be constructed within the preliminary section of the programme.

Mr. Bartlett identified that the programme isn’t restricted to resort staff.

Employees are being urged to use for the programme by way of the Tourism Enhancement Fund web site.

They will even have the ability to monitor their software on the portal.
