    Taxi Operator Charged After Allegedly Injuring Officer During Traffic Stop

    KINGSTON – A taxi operator has been charged by Kingston Central Police for allegedly injuring an officer throughout an incident on King Road in downtown Kingston on Wednesday. The accused, 36-year-old Shaun Grey of Windsor Top in Central Village, Spanish City, St. Catherine, faces expenses of assault at frequent regulation and assault occasioning bodily hurt.

    In line with police studies, at roughly 1:18 p.m., an officer on site visitors responsibility using a service motorbike noticed Grey, driving a Honda Stepwagon, commit a site visitors breach. The officer approached Grey to handle the violation, however Grey reportedly drove his automobile into the officer’s path, utilizing it to pin the officer between two autos.

    The officer sustained accidents to his proper foot and proper thumb on account of the collision. In an effort to defend himself, the officer fired photographs in Grey’s path, though no accidents have been reported from the officer’s response. Grey fled the scene however was later apprehended and subsequently charged.

    Shaun Grey is scheduled to seem earlier than the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Courtroom on Wednesday, March 26.
