    Spanish Town Man Charged After Firearm Found in Vehicle

    A 47-year-old man from Spanish City, St Catherine, has been charged after police allegedly discovered a loaded firearm in his car throughout a routine operation.

    Gregory Ferguson, also referred to as “Ruff,” a self-employed resident of 14 Duncan’s Pen Street, now faces expenses of possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition.

    The costs stem from an incident on February 16, when regulation enforcement officers intercepted a Nissan Tiida motor automobile pushed by Ferguson round 12:45 p.m. Throughout a search of the car, police reportedly found a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol hid inside the driving force’s door, together with {a magazine} containing six rounds of ammunition.

    Ferguson was instantly taken into custody and later questioned within the presence of his authorized consultant on Saturday. Authorities have confirmed that preparations are presently being made for his court docket look.

    Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
