ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — An early-morning police operation in Portmore on Saturday led to the seizure of an unlawful firearm and ammunition and the arrest of three individuals.
Studies are that about 5:00 a.m., members of the Particular Operations Unit went to Portsea Drive in Portsmouth, Portmore, the place they performed a search of a premises.
Through the operation, the cops reportedly discovered a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol wrapped in a towel, fitted with {a magazine} containing 16 rounds of ammunition. A further 4 rounds have been additionally found in a chest of drawers.
Two males, ages 24 and 32, and a girl, 35, who occupied the property, have been taken into custody.
The police say the names of the suspects are being withheld pending additional investigations.
