    President of Trinidad and Tobago Christine Kangaloo and her husband, First Gentleman Kerwyn Garcia SC, have prolonged heartfelt congratulations to steelpan musician. Joshua Regrello on the affirmation of his Guinness World Report title for the longest enjoying steelpan session on the earth.

    In an announcement, by way of the Workplace of the President, the couple stated the accomplishment is one to be celebrated.

    The achievement was famous on the Guinness World Records website which confirms Regrello’s 31-hour steelpan session because the longest marathon for taking part in the metal drums.

    Regrello’s marathon session passed off from December 27-28, 2024, on the WACK 90.1 FM studio in San Fernando.

    “Joshua is now formally the Guinness World Report holder for the Longest Marathon Enjoying Steelpan / Metal Drum. His exceptional feat was achieved on 27 December 2024, in his hometown of San Fernando, following 31 steady, gruelling hours of steelpan efficiency.

    “Joshua’s accomplishment is a proud second not just for him and his household, but in addition for the whole nation. It’s the results of over 20 years of onerous work, sacrifice and dedication. As a mentor at The President’s Pan Camp 2024, Joshua demonstrated and championed the very qualities—ardour, self-discipline and dedication to at least one’s craft—which have introduced him to this second of well-deserved world recognition. His success stands as a shining instance and as a supply of inspiration for younger individuals throughout Trinidad and Tobago and the world.

    “Their Excellencies commend Joshua for representing Trinidad and Tobago so ably on the world stage and for shining a worldwide highlight on our beloved nationwide instrument. What a becoming tribute to our cultural heritage, and what a strong solution to spotlight Trinidad and Tobago as each the birthplace and the epicentre of the steelpan.

    “Trinidad and Tobago is exceedingly pleased with you, Joshua. Your success belongs to all of us, and the nation collectively basks within the glory of your achievement. We look ahead to your continued success, each at house and on the worldwide stage.
