    PNP’s Dr. Aujae Dixon Eyes Upset in Clarendon North Central

    Clarendon North Central, a JLP stronghold for over 20 years, may see a shake-up as PNP newcomer Dr. Aujae Dixon vies for the seat within the September 3 election. The constituency final went to the PNP in 1997.

    Dixon, 31, a medical physician with paediatric expertise, says his deep roots within the space give him an edge. A former youth aide to ex-Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller, he has been energetic in group initiatives like back-to-school free medicals and church initiatives.

    “The largest challenges listed here are water and roads,” Dixon informed The Gleaner. “Communities pay as much as $20,000 month-to-month for water, and inside roads are in poor situation.”

    Regardless of the JLP’s lengthy dominance, Dixon says his native presence and group work have laid the groundwork for a attainable upset. “For the remainder of the nation it could be a shock, however I count on to win,” he declared.
