    INDECOM Probes Fatal Police Shooting of Music Producer in Spanish Town

    SPANISH TOWN, St Catherine — The Unbiased Fee of Investigations (INDECOM) has launched a probe into the deadly capturing of 30-year-old music producer, Javon Basceosingh, by law enforcement officials throughout an operation within the Homestead group, on Tuesday afternoon.

    In line with police studies, round 2:00 p.m., a workforce was conducting an operation within the space when Basceosingh, a resident of Homestead, was seen sitting on a wall. He allegedly jumped down and bumped into a close-by home upon noticing the police.

    Police say they pursued him into the home, the place Basceosingh reportedly pointed a handgun on the officers. The lawmen reportedly took evasive motion and opened hearth, injuring him.

    A Glock pistol with {a magazine} containing 4 9mm rounds was allegedly recovered on the scene.

    Basceosingh was transported to the Spanish City Hospital, the place he was pronounced useless.

    INDECOM has since commenced investigations into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding the capturing. The oversight physique will assess the police account and conduct interviews as a part of its commonplace protocol in all police-involved deadly shootings.
