    Man accused of stealing $600,000 of Fort Lupton company property

    A Lochbuie man is accused of stealing practically $600,000 price of property from a Fort Lupton renewable power firm and promoting it as scrap steel.

    Dustin Ulmer, 42, faces two counts of theft between $100,000 and $1 million, in response to an affidavit for his arrest.

    Simply earlier than midday on Oct. 14, Fort Lupton police responded to Sphere Renewables, 13516 Weld County Highway 8, on studies that an worker had been scrapping firm property and pocketing the cash.

    Managers at Sphere Renewables stated they’d spoken with All Recycling in Brighton and realized that Ulmer had been recycling tower toes weekly since August, in response to an affidavit for Ulmer’s arrest. Sphere Renewables declined to explain what tower toes are.

    Managers stated 149 models, every retailing at $4,000, had been lacking, the affidavit states. In whole, the Sphere Renewables estimates Ulmer recycled roughly $600,000 price of tower toes, in response to the affidavit.

    Ulmer was paid out just below $10,000 from All Recycling, the affidavit states.

    He’s set to seem for an advisement listening to Monday in Weld County District Court docket.
