    ‘Skatta’ Burrell responds to disrespect from Chronic Law and Popcaan – Jamaica Inquirer

    Occasion promoter and dancehall producer, Cordel ‘Skatta’ Burrell, has addressed the disrespect he confronted from dancehall artistes Power Regulation and Popcaan at Vybz Kartel’s Freedom Avenue Live performance early on Wednesday morning.

    Burrell was significantly incensed as his mom, who’s at present hospitalised, was referenced within the disrespect from one of many artiste in his utterances on stage.

    The disrespectful remarks have been made after Popcaan and Power Regulation skilled difficulties getting into the venue on the Nationwide Stadium in St Andrew.

    After being allowed entry on the request of Kartel, Popcaan took to the stage, hurling insults at Burrell, including a derogatory comment including reference to Burrell’s mother.

    “Skatta s#@ok yuh mada yute! If a neva Kartel mi gah mi yard… Wah mek unuh have mi and Power Regulation outta door fi three hours? A wah mek unuh a maintain down the native dem? Do not do this to win yute!” Popcaan exclaimed.

    Power Regulation additionally responded to the scenario, disrespecting Burrell and one other occasion promoter, Joe Bogdanovich.

    “Wi deh yasso fi Vybz Kartel, mi a chat straight. Mi nuh deh ya suh fi nuh white boy or nuh rasta bwoy. Mi a foul man, mi nuh like individuals… Skatta, behave, yuh hear? Joe? Behave yuh … self,” Power Regulation stated.

    Burrell took to Instagram on Wednesday morning to deal with the feedback, significantly the disrespect proven to his mom.

    “I… mom… has been within the hospital, and a person nah go tek it up pon him head fi come inform me to s$%ok mi mada inna a public area (with) 1000’s of individuals and anticipate it a go get thrown below the rug as a result of mi is a promoter and mi have much more to lose than dem,” stated Burrell.

    He emphasised that he needed to preserve professionalism and never permit the present to be disrupted over the comment. Nonetheless, he made it clear that he won’t tolerate such disrespect.

    “Me is a person; blood run via mi veins zeen, and mi know the way fi take care of issues. A person diss mi publicly, mi (coulda) drag him below the stage and disrespect him again privately.

    “And mi a inform yuh sup’m, me cud a homicide yuh below da stage deh. Unuh fi watch unuh mouth man!” acknowledged Burrell.

    He stated people have to be cautious what they are saying to others.

    “Nuff a unuh youth a nuh nuh actual man these days, as a result of set off finger motion nuh mek yuh a person as a result of complete a wi can do dem ting deh, and no man nuh know mi from nuh weh fi fake like seh mi and dem a enemy or fren, and a disrespect mi, as a result of I do not disrespect you,” Burrell stated.

    In the meantime, the promoter expressed gratitude to everybody who attended the Freedom Avenue Live performance, and praised Vybz Kartel for his efficiency.

    He stated the disrespect episodes shouldn’t be used to mar the success of the occasion.
