    1,000 rounds of ammunition seized in Port of Spain – Jamaica Inquirer

    Officers of the Western Division Gang and Intelligence Unit (WDGIU) seized 1,000 rounds of 9mm ammunition and arrested one suspect throughout an intelligence-led operation in Port of Spain on Wednesday, Could 21, 2025.

    In an announcement, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated the train befell between 1:15 pm and 4pm, within the neighborhood of Nelson Avenue Women’ Main College.

    Appearing on intelligence, officers intercepted a white Nissan Frontier.

    An in depth search of the car led to the invention of 1,000 rounds of 9mm ammunition hid in a cardboard field in addition to a amount of hashish.

    Officers additionally found undisclosed sums of US and Trinidad and Tobago foreign money.

    The car’s lone occupant, a 40-year-old man, of Leotaud Avenue, Laventille, was arrested and transported to the West Finish Police Station, together with the car, for safekeeping and additional enquiries.

    The TTPS stated this essential operation was spearheaded by DCP Suzette Martin, Senior Superintendent Williams, ASP Gyan and Brown, and Inspector Grant, and led by PC Joseph.
