A safety guard is going through a number of firearm-related costs after police intercepted him throughout a late-night operation in Zaidie Gardens, St Andrew, on December 26.

The accused, 41-year-old Keven Smith of Seaview Gardens, was reportedly driving a pink Kia Seltos SUV outfitted with flashing blue lights when police stopped him round 11:30 p.m.

In line with legislation enforcement, Smith complied with directions to tug over. Nonetheless, when he exited the automobile, officers seen suspicious bulges at his waist. A subsequent search allegedly uncovered a Taurus G2C pistol with {a magazine} containing 4 rounds of ammunition, together with a Glock journal carrying one .40 calibre cartridge.

Police say Smith was unable to offer authorized authorization for the weapon, ammunition, or the usage of blue lights. He has since been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and unauthorised use of blue lights.
