The administration of Bahia Resorts in St Ann has reportedly agreed to an enhanced separation package deal for workers, in mild of the closure of the resorts and the deliberate redundancy train.
The Bustamante Industrial Commerce Union (BITU) which represents the employees, had made a number of proposals to the administration.
BITU President Kavan Gayle stated the hoteliers signed off on the package deal throughout a gathering yesterday.
Among the many objects agreed, is that the youngsters of affected employees will get academic help.
Additionally agreed to, is the continuation of employees medical insurance and a waiver on funds for workers loans.
One other is that gratuity will probably be included within the redundancy cost.
Mr. Gayle expressed hope that when the resorts reopen, the previous workers will probably be re-engaged.
