St. Mary, Jamaica – The St Mary Police Division has dealt a significant blow to lottery scammers working within the parish, with seven individuals arrested in only one week for possession of id info.

The arrests type a part of an ongoing anti-scamming operation led by detectives from the Jamaica Constabulary Power (JCF) focusing on organized prison networks believed to be fueling the illicit commerce.

In keeping with legislation enforcement sources, the people had been taken into custody throughout a sequence of focused raids throughout the parish, aimed toward dismantling rip-off cells that prey on the susceptible—each regionally and abroad.

Police say extra operations are deliberate within the coming days as investigations proceed.

They’re urging the general public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious exercise to the closest police station.

Authorities are warning that possession of id info with intent to commit fraud is a critical offence, and the JCF stays dedicated to rooting out scammers from communities throughout Jamaica.
