    Dancehall Legend Danny English is Dead

    Kingston, Jamaica – Famend dancehall deejay Danny English, greatest identified for his iconic hit “Occasion Time” with Egg Nog, handed away on Thursday night on the Kingston Public Hospital. He was 54 years previous.

    English, a veteran of the Jamaican music scene, succumbed to issues from diabetes after a chronic battle with the sickness.

    Born Donald Cox in Kingston, English’s musical journey started throughout his teenage years at Camperdown Excessive College. He was closely influenced by legendary artists resembling Shabba Ranks, Buju Banton, and Beres Hammond.

    English’s profession soared in 2002 with the discharge of “Occasion Time” on the Diwali rhythm, solidifying his place alongside Egg Nog as a outstanding determine within the dancehall scene. Though they weren’t an official duo, their distinctive musical chemistry captivated audiences worldwide.
