MONTEREY PARK, LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Division is mourning the lack of three veteran deputies who died in a devastating explosion at a legislation enforcement coaching facility on Friday.
The tragic incident occurred on the Biscailuz Coaching Middle in Monterey Park and marks the deadliest day for the division since 1857, based on Sheriff Robert Luna.
Experiences are that the three deputies, all assigned to the arson explosives element, had been conducting operations on the facility when the explosion occurred. Sheriff Luna described them as seasoned specialists with 19, 22, and 33 years of service, respectively.
