ST. CATHERINE, JAMAICA – June 2, 2025 – A 25-year-old St. Catherine man has been charged by detectives from the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Youngster Abuse (CISOCA) in reference to allegations of sexual activity with a then-underage lady on a number of events.

The person, who has not but been publicly recognized, faces three counts of getting sexual activity with an individual below the age of sixteen.

In response to police stories, the alleged incidents befell between January and April 2020. It’s being alleged that the person and the lady, who was 14 years previous on the time, first met on January 1, 2020, and exchanged contact info. He then allegedly invited her to his residence on separate events throughout that interval, the place the sexual acts are stated to have occurred.

The matter was formally reported to the police on January 20, 2025, triggering a right away investigation by CISOCA. The suspect was apprehended final week Tuesday, Might 27, and subsequently charged on Saturday, Might 31, after being questioned by detectives within the presence of his lawyer.

A courtroom date for the accused to seem earlier than a decide is pending and can be introduced shortly.
