    Jamaican Missionary Dies in Fatal Ghana Bus Crash

    Heather Dillon, a 67-year-old Jamaican missionary from Ocho Rios, St Ann, was amongst three individuals who misplaced their lives in a tragic bus accident in rural Ghana final week.

    Dillon had been in Ghana since October, serving as a coaching facilitator for Operation Mobilization (OM), a worldwide Christian group devoted to neighborhood service and faith-based outreach. On the time of the accident, she was travelling from Tamale to Kumasi when the personal bus, carrying 15 passengers, crashed whereas overtaking autos on a slender highway. Two different missionaries—one from Sierra Leone and one other from Ghana—additionally died within the incident.

    Dillon’s missionary work had taken her to South Africa previous to her time in Ghana. In Jamaica, she was identified for her contributions in schooling, having taught at The Mico College School and later working at HEART Belief/NTA in an government capability. Her educational journey included Ocho Rios Major College, St Hilda’s Diocesan Excessive College, and The College of the West Indies.

    Her loss of life has deeply impacted the Operation Mobilization neighborhood worldwide, in addition to her household and the numerous people whose lives she touched via her ministry and dedication to service.
