    Security Guard Charged After Imitation Firearm Found in Kingston

    Kingston, Jamaica — Police have charged a 23-year-old safety guard after he was allegedly caught with an imitation firearm throughout a site visitors cease in Kingston on Sunday.

    The accused, Tajay Nelson, has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.

    Reviews from the Denham City Police point out that round 3:45 p.m., officers had been conducting routine checks after they signalled a Toyota Probox motor automotive to cease on the intersection of Maxfield Avenue and Spanish City Highway.

    The driving force complied, and all passengers exited the car.

    In the course of the checks, officers reportedly seen a bulge in Nelson’s waistband and requested to look him.

    Police say Nelson cooperated, and a search uncovered an imitation firearm tucked in his waistband.

    He was taken into custody on the scene and later formally charged. His courtroom date is being finalised.
