    10-hour chase at sea leads to massive drug bust off DR coast – Jamaica Inquirer

    Following an intense 10-hour pursuit via tough waters, Dominican authorities have seized over 500 packages of suspected cocaine and marijuana throughout a joint maritime interdiction operation off the coast of Pedernales province, in what officers describe as “one other main blow to the worldwide drug trafficking networks.”

    The operation, which concerned brokers from the Nationwide Drug Management Directorate (DNCD), the Dominican Republic Navy (ARD), and the Air Power (FARD), was carried out underneath the coordination of the Public Prosecutor’s Workplace following an alert a few potential touchdown with an undetermined variety of narcotic substances.

    After receiving the alert, operational groups activated monitoring, follow-up and motion protocols to seize suspects who had been mobilizing on a ship close to the coast of the Dominican Republic.
