    Youth to collect PM’s awards for excellence on May 31 – Jamaica Inquirer

    Performing Senior Director within the Youth and Adolescent Coverage Division of the Ministry of Training, Abilities, Youth and Info (MOESYI), Yanique Williams.

    The ceremony for the Prime Minister’s Nationwide Youth Awards for Excellence (PMNYAE) for 2024 is scheduled for Saturday, Might 31, on the lawns of Jamaica Home, beginning at 6pm.                                                                                               

    Since its inception in 1998, the PMNYAE has been a platform the place many younger Jamaicans, aged 15 to 29, are recognised for demonstrating distinctive achievement and dedication to nationwide growth.

    These classes spotlight the various skills and contributions of the nominees. They embody Lecturers, Agriculture and Agro-Processing, Arts and Tradition, Entrepreneurship/Social Entrepreneurship, Environmental Safety, Innovation in Science and Know-how, Journalism/E-Journalism, Music, Nation-Constructing (Volunteerism), Nationwide Management, New Media (Social  Media/YouTubers/Bloggers/Vloggers), Sports activities, Youth Growth, Particular Talents, and Technical and Vocational Training and Coaching (TVET).                                               

    There’s additionally the Prime Minister’s Particular Award for Excellence. That is bestowed on a person or an organisation that has excelled exceptionally of their discipline of labor or research worthy of nationwide recognition, and embodying the true that means of resilience, innovation and excellence.     

    Williams mentioned that within the transfer to advertise inclusivity and recognise a broader vary of skills, the 2024 awards launched two new classes: Particular Talents and TVET.
