    Work to commence on 72 roads under Spark Programme between now and February

    Work is anticipated to begin on 72 roads beneath the Shared Prosperity by means of Accelerated Enchancment to our Highway Community (Spark Programme), between now and subsequent month .

    Works Minister Robert Morgan notes that by March, 49 roads will probably be added to the record, growing the variety of roads for which the contractor has been given directions to begin work, to 258.

    He says the Spark Programme was paused because of Hurricane Melissa, and the contractor was allowed to take part within the restoration and clearing course of.

    Mr. Morgan says work has now resumed with some $4 billion spent on the programme to date, with the finances for this yr being $5.2 billion.

    He explains that the work on every street commences previous to precise repairs, with the method typically lasting about 2-3 months, although there have been events the place it has taken longer.

    Mr Morgan says the method takes time and authorities is imposing the requirements.
