    Woman Who Lost Leg in Motor Vehicle Accident Gets Prosthetic Limb – Jamaica Information Service

    The Authorities’s New Limb, New Life programme, which gives prostheses for individuals aged 13 to 60 years, continues to positively impression the lives of Jamaicans who’ve misplaced limbs attributable to accidents and illness.

    Fifty-one-year-old mom, Dalvarine Bruce Pearce, who misplaced her left leg attributable to accidents sustained in a motor-vehicle accident in February 2024, is the newest beneficiary underneath the initiative.

    She was fitted with a prosthetic leg by technicians from Surgix Jamaica Restricted on Tuesday (June 10).

    Prime Minister, Dr. the Most Hon. Andrew Holness, who spoke with Mrs. Pearce throughout a go to to the Surgix Prosthetics Clinic on the Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Centre in St. Andrew on Wednesday (June 11), recommended her energy within the face of very difficult circumstances over the previous yr.

    Mrs. Pearce expressed gratitude for the help that she has obtained by means of the New Limb, New Life initiative.
