    What’s It Like Being Married to a Jamaican? Niqui & Larry’s Story

    Love is aware of no boundaries, and for Niqui and Larry, their journey as an intercultural couple is stuffed with laughter, studying, and a deep appreciation for one another’s backgrounds. In a latest interview with Xavier Murphy, founding father of Jamaicans.com, the couple shared their distinctive love story, cultural variations, and hilarious misunderstandings which have formed their relationship.

    How It All Started

    Larry, an American, and Niqui, a proud Jamaican, met whereas working on the similar school. Their preliminary encounter was a playful misunderstanding—Larry wanted instructions, and Niqui insists she wasn’t flirting, although Larry noticed it otherwise! As destiny would have it, their paths stored crossing, resulting in a friendship that blossomed into one thing extra.

He generally forgets he’s not Jamaican, particularly throughout celebrations like Emancipation Day when he’s leaping up and down with the remainder of the household. His dream? A real Jamaican countryside expertise—rafting on the Martha Brae River, visiting the agricultural components of Jamaica, and totally immersing himself within the tradition.
