There are moments in life after we really feel totally powerless. Trials come up that appear too nice, obstacles stand too tall, and the load of uncertainty presses upon us. In these moments, we echo the phrases of King Jehoshaphat: “We have no idea what to do, however our eyes are upon You” (2 Chronicles 20:12, NKJV). Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, confronted an amazing enemy. An unlimited military had risen towards his folks, and within the pure, defeat appeared inevitable. But, as an alternative of counting on army methods or alliances, Jehoshaphat did one thing profound—he turned to God. He gathered the folks, proclaimed a quick, and sought the Lord in prayer. His confession was considered one of humility and dependence: “We have now no energy towards this nice multitude” (v. 12).

This passage reminds us that religion isn’t about having all of the solutions; it’s about figuring out the place to look after we don’t. Jehoshaphat mounted his eyes on the Lord, and in response, God reassured him via His prophet: “Don’t be afraid nor dismayed due to this nice multitude, for the battle isn’t yours, however God’s” (2 Chronicles 20:15). How usually will we attempt to struggle our battles alone? How usually will we battle in our energy, forgetting that God stands able to struggle for us? Once we shift our focus from our issues to His guarantees, concern is changed with religion, and nervousness provides strategy to peace.

Within the New Testomony, we see this similar precept echoed in Hebrews 12:2: “Trying unto Jesus, the writer and finisher of our religion.” Fixing our eyes on Christ means trusting that He’s sovereign, that He sees what we don’t, and that He’ll lead us in His excellent knowledge. God’s response to Jehoshaphat’s prayer was miraculous. The Lord set ambushes towards the enemy, and with out lifting a sword, Judah noticed a mighty victory (2 Chronicles 20:22-24). What was their function? To belief, worship, and obey.

Maybe at the moment, you end up in a spot of uncertainty. The long run feels unclear, and concern threatens to overwhelm you. Like Jehoshaphat, carry your burdens earlier than God. Acknowledge your weak point, however don’t cease there—repair your eyes on Him. If you don’t know what to do, bear in mind this fact: The battle isn’t yours; it’s the Lord’s. Stand agency, belief Him, and watch Him work in methods past what you and I might ever think about (Ephesians 3:20).

    • Straightforward going, dislike negativity, and an optimist. I consider that amidst the hustle and bustle of on a regular basis residing, every day is a present from God and if we cease and give it some thought, there may be at the least one factor for which we must be grateful. As well as, I consider that each day is a superb day to be alive. Irrespective of how unhealthy we predict we have now it, there are any variety of people who find themselves on the “different aspect” who, if they may, would gladly commerce locations with us.
