    Wanted Man Killed in Police Confrontation in Portmore

    A wished man was fatally shot throughout a reported confrontation with police on Shaw Avenue in Bridgeport, Portmore, St Catherine, on Saturday night time.

    He has been recognized as Oshanie Voshy Davidson, of King Weston, Lawrence Tavern, St Andrew. Police say a firearm was recovered on the scene.

    The incident occurred about 11:32 pm. Davidson had been wished in reference to a number of murders and shootings within the Stony Hill and Lawrence Tavern areas. Earlier police operations to seize him had failed, and he reportedly fled his group after a spike in violence there final yr.

    Superintendent Randy Sweeney, head of the St Andrew North Division, confirmed the operation and stated intelligence led police to Davidson’s location.

    The Unbiased Fee of Investigations (INDECOM) is probing the incident.
