Voletta Wallace, the Jamaican-born mom of the late rap icon Christopher “The Infamous B.I.G.” Wallace, has died on the age of 78. She handed away on Friday morning at her house in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, attributable to pure causes, as confirmed by Monroe County Coroner Thomas Yanac.

Born in Trelawny Parish, Jamaica, Voletta Wallace immigrated to Brooklyn, New York, the place she labored as a schoolteacher and single-handedly raised her son, Christopher. Following his tragic homicide in 1997, a case that continues to be unsolved, she turned the steward of his legacy. She managed his property, which has grown to an estimated worth of $160 million, and served as an govt producer for the 2009 biographical movie “Infamous.”

In 2020, Voletta proudly represented her son throughout his posthumous induction into the Rock and Roll Corridor of Fame. She expressed immense pleasure in his accomplishments, stating, “As a mom, I’m extraordinarily pleased with his achievements.”

Voletta Wallace is survived by her mom, her grandchildren CJ and T’yanna, and different kin.
