    US Embassy resumes processing of student visa applications – Jamaica Inquirer

    The Ministry of Overseas and CARICOM Affairs is advising the general public that the Embassy of the USA of America has formally resumed the processing of scholar visa (F-1, M-1 and J-1) functions for worldwide college students desiring to pursue educational programmes in the USA. 

    An announcement from the Ministry says this growth follows the lifting of a brief suspension on scholar visa appointments, which had been in impact since Might 2025. 

    The Ministry welcomes this resumption, recognising its significance for nationals who’ve secured placements at accredited establishments throughout the USA. 

    It notes that nationals making use of for scholar visas are strongly inspired to diligently learn and cling to the official tips issued by the US Division of State.
