    Two Men Fatally Shot by Police in Alleged St Catherine Shootout

    St Catherine, Jamaica – Two males had been fatally shot by the police in an alleged armed confrontation alongside the Spanish City Bypass on Thursday night time.

    The deceased have been recognized as 44-year-old Everton Spike and 33-year-old Jason Spike, each carpenters from Port Henderson Street, St Catherine.

    In line with police experiences, at roughly 7:45 p.m., a patrol group noticed the 2 males strolling close to Okra Lane, heading in direction of Dela Vega Metropolis.

    The police say they tried to accost the boys, however they allegedly brandished firearms and opened fireplace. Legislation enforcement officers reportedly returned fireplace, and when the taking pictures ended, each males had been discovered affected by gunshot wounds.

    The police recovered two unlawful firearms loaded with ammunition, together with 4 spent shells from the scene.

    The injured males had been transported to the Spanish City Hospital, the place they had been pronounced lifeless.

    The Unbiased Fee of Investigations (INDECOM) has since launched a probe into the taking pictures as a part of customary process in police-involved fatalities.

    Authorities proceed their investigations into the incident.
