    Two Men Charged in Killing of St Andrew Policemen

    KINGSTON, Jamaica — Two males have been charged in reference to the homicide of two policemen on Waltham Park Street, St Andrew, final month.

    The accused, 20-year-old Macarius ‘Mackie’ Munroe of Ricketts Crescent, Kingston 13, and Junior Brown, 20, of Seaward Drive, Kingston 11, every face two counts of homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of prohibited ammunition, and utilizing a firearm to commit a felony.

    Police stated the boys have been charged on Thursday following their identification in a number of identification parades and corroborating eyewitness statements, after an intensive investigation. A courtroom date has not but been set.

    The victims, Constables Charles Stewart and Jemarey Gordon, have been shot and killed on November 13 alongside 83 Lane, Waltham Park Street throughout an altercation with a number of males. Reviews indicated that the officers have been talking with the boys at a enterprise place when one of many suspects allegedly pulled a firearm and fired a number of pictures, placing each policemen of their higher our bodies. The suspects then fled on foot.

    Munroe and Brown have been subsequently named as suspects and brought into custody. The St Andrew police proceed their investigation
