    Two JCF Members Charged Following Alleged Assault at St. Mary Police Station

    Two members of the Jamaica Constabulary Power have been charged in reference to an alleged assault on the Highgate Police Station in St. Mary.

    Corporal Garth Brown and Constable Shaquille Murphy have been charged with assault occasioning precise bodily hurt following an incident mentioned to have occurred in September 2023. The costs had been laid after an investigation by the Impartial Fee of Investigations (INDECOM), with the Workplace of the Director of Public Prosecutions ruling that the matter ought to proceed.

    In line with investigators, medical proof and an eyewitness supported the complainant’s account that he was assaulted whereas handcuffed on the police station.

    Each officers appeared within the St. Mary Parish Courtroom final Thursday, the place they had been every granted $200,000 bail.
