    Two Illegal Firearms Seized, Two Men Arrested in St Andrew North Operations

    KINGSTON, Jamaica — The St Andrew North police seized two unlawful firearms and arrested two males in separate operations on Tuesday as they proceed their crackdown on unlawful weapons and crime within the division.

    Within the first incident, lawmen seized a Springfield Armory Hellcat 9mm pistol, together with a number of rounds of ammunition, at a premises on Grants Pen Drive in Grants Pen. One man was taken into custody in reference to the seizure.

    Later, throughout one other operation at a premises on Manor Drive in Cassava Piece, police recovered a .22 pistol and arrested one other suspect.

    Each operations concerned members of the Jamaica Constabulary Pressure (JCF) working alongside the Jamaica Defence Pressure (JDF).

    Superintendent Randy Sweeney, head of the division, mentioned the operations type a part of ongoing efforts to make communities safer. He additionally revealed that a number of different people have been detained and are at the moment being processed.

    “We stay dedicated to ridding our streets of weapons, gangs, and needed males,” Sweeney mentioned, whereas urging residents to proceed supporting the police with info.
