    Two Cops Among Three Charged in St Mary Businessman Murder

    ST MARY, Jamaica — Two cops and one other man have been charged in reference to the homicide of 59-year-old businessman Garfield Singh in Boscobel, St Mary.

    Singh, who operated Singh’s Tyre Gross sales, Service and Restore, was gunned down at his residence early Monday morning. In keeping with police experiences, residents heard loud banging adopted by gunshots round 4:00 a.m. Moments later, gunmen had been seen fleeing the scene, stated Anthony Wallace, commanding officer of the St Mary Police Division. Police responded shortly and located Singh inside the home with gunshot accidents.

    21-year-old Constable Qwaine Blake faces a number of fees, together with homicide, conspiracy to homicide, use of a firearm to commit a felony, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession and stockpiling of ammunition, dealing in firearms and ammunition, possession of legal property, and a number of other breaches of the Highway Visitors Act.

    His colleague, 25-year-old Constable Daz Haynes, is charged with misprision of felony for allegedly understanding concerning the crime and making an attempt to cowl it up.

    The third accused is 19-year-old Tyrone Dacosta of Larger Portmore, St Catherine. Each officers are assigned to the Public Security and Visitors Enforcement Department (PSTEB).

    Investigations into the taking pictures stay ongoing because the authorized course of strikes ahead.
