    Traffic Rerouted After Landslide Makes St Mary Road Impassable

    Site visitors into Kingston alongside the Junction essential street in St Mary has been delivered to a halt following a major landslide close to Broadgate.

    The incident occurred early Tuesday after intense rainfall destabilised the hillside, sending particles onto the roadway and toppling a big tree throughout the thoroughfare. The obstruction has rendered the street impassable to all automobiles.

    Member of Parliament for South Jap St Mary, Christopher Brown, confirmed that the Nationwide Works Company and the police have been notified. He mentioned preparations are being made to deploy the mandatory equipment to clear the realm and restore entry as rapidly as attainable.

    Within the meantime, motorists travelling from Annotto Bay in direction of Kingston are being urged to divert via Richmond, Rock River and Scott’s Corridor, exiting at Grandy Gap.

    Drivers heading in the wrong way—from Kingston to Annotto Bay and close by communities—also needs to use the Grandy Gap route, persevering with via Scott’s Corridor, Rock River and Richmond earlier than continuing to Highgate, Port Maria or Annotto Bay.

    Authorities are advising motorists to train warning and comply with all posted directions whereas cleanup operations are underway
