    Tourist Helicopter Crash in Hudson River Claims Six Lives, Including Three Children

    New York Metropolis — A devastating helicopter crash within the Hudson River close to Decrease Manhattan on Thursday afternoon has claimed the lives of six folks, together with three youngsters, all of whom had been vacationers visiting from Spain.

    The New York Helicopters chartered flight had departed from the Wall Road Heliport shortly earlier than 3:00 p.m. and was en route northward when catastrophe struck.     “This can be a heartbreaking day for the households and for our metropolis,” stated New York Metropolis Mayor Eric Adams throughout a press briefing. “Our hearts exit to everybody affected by this unimaginable tragedy.”

    Footage of the incident confirmed the helicopter falling out of the sky and not using a tail rotor or fundamental rotor blade, crashing inverted into the 50-degree waters. Witnesses described a terrifying scene.

    “I heard what seemed like gunshots, then noticed items falling earlier than the helicopter simply dropped,” stated Dani Horbiak, who witnessed the crash from her house window. One other eyewitness, Eric Campoverde, added, “It got here down at a 45-degree angle. Massive splash — it was very scary.”
