    Too Much Jealousy – Vieux Fort vendor says vendor’s association can’t work – Jamaica Inquirer

    A avenue vendor who plies her commerce in Vieux-Fort says a vendor’s affiliation can’t be fashioned within the city right now.

    Ambrosia Victorin reacted to a different vendor who, a couple of days in the past, informed Loop Information that she is exploring the potential of forming a vendor’s affiliation in Vieux-Fort.

    Lucina St. Ville, who plies her commerce on higher Clarke Avenue, Vieux-Fort, had informed Loop Information that she had spoken to a number of distributors who expressed overwhelming curiosity in forming a vendor’s affiliation in Vieux-Fort.

    Nevertheless, in accordance with Victorin, who plies her commerce on Business Avenue, Vieux-Fort, forming such an affiliation in Vieux-Fort right now just isn’t doable as a result of there’s a lack of cooperation amongst distributors.

    She mentioned there’s an excessive amount of envy and jealousy amongst distributors in Vieux-Fort.

    “That vendor vex with that one as a result of she is promoting greater than her, that one is vex with that one as a result of she is supporting the St Lucia Labour Occasion, that one is vex with that one as a result of she is supporting the United Employees Occasion,” Victorin informed Loop Information.

    She mentioned if folks go to purchase one thing from a vendor on higher Clarke Avenue and so they don’t get what they need, the distributors there’ll inform them that it doesn’t make sense to go to distributors on Business Avenue to get what they’re on the lookout for, as a result of they won’t get it there.

    “They don’t need the individual to purchase from you, so a vendor’s affiliation is not going to work in Vieux-Fort”, she expressed, including that the distributors in Vieux-Fort are preventing one another down.
