    Teen Boy Drowns in Portland River Amid Heavy Rains

    Portland, Jamaica – Sunday, A teenage boy is suspected to have drowned whereas swimming within the Caenwood River in western Portland on Sunday afternoon, because the parish continues to expertise heavy rainfall and rising water ranges.

    Stories point out that the boy entered the river round midday, regardless of the water being in spate because of ongoing torrential rains. Portland has been lashed by downpours for the previous three days, inflicting a number of rivers to overflow their banks and prompting security issues throughout the area.

    Emergency providers have been alerted and launched a search effort. The boy’s physique was later recovered and has since been transported to a morgue.

    Authorities are urging residents to keep away from rivers and flood-prone areas as antagonistic climate circumstances proceed. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
