    Teachers Feted by Sandals Resorts International – Jamaica Information Service

    Greater than 750 academics from St. Ann, St. Mary, St. James, Negril and the South Coast had been feted by Sandals Resorts Worldwide (SRI) on Could 7 as a part of the annual Lecturers’ Day celebrations.

    Festivities in Ocho Rios featured seashore video games that fostered teamwork and camaraderie amongst educators, a lot of whom met for the primary time in a relaxed, seaside setting.

    Prizes similar to six weekend stays at any Sandals or Seashores Resort in Jamaica, grocery baskets from Greatest Costume Rooster, and shock giveaways saved the thrill excessive.

    The South Coast area celebrated with 162 academics with its personal partaking programme, whereas Negril hosted 80 academics, and Montego Bay welcomed 115 educators.

    “The celebrations weren’t solely about enjoyable but in addition recognition. The presence of the North East Regional Well being Authority (NERHA) added an academic component with its ‘Know Your Numbers’ programme, partaking academics in environmental consciousness actions,” Sandals Regional Public Relations Supervisor, Ian Spencer, famous.

    Lecturers additionally expressed their gratitude for the celebrations, praising Sandals for the considerate gesture and contribution to training over time.

    “Today means a lot to us. It’s fantastic to be recognised and appreciated in such a particular manner,” stated Lime Corridor Fundamental College instructor, Stephanie Simms, who received a weekend for 2 at a Sandals property.

    Her colleague instructor from Reaching Stars Fundamental College in St. Ann’s Bay, Tracey-Ann Byfield, stated: “We’re thrilled with the unimaginable actions – far past what we anticipated.”
