    Taxi Operator Dies in Fatal Salt Spring Crash

    ST JAMES, Jamaica — A taxi operator has died following a fiery late-night crash alongside the Salt Spring fundamental street in St James on Friday, September 5, 2025.

    The deceased has been recognized as 45-year-old Dwayne Ecccleston, of Nice View, Salt Spring.

    Stories are that someday after 11:00 p.m., Ecccleston was driving a Toyota Voxy when it collided head-on with a Nissan Serena, which was travelling in the wrong way.

    The affect left each automobiles badly mangled, and emergency crews, together with the police and firefighters, had been summoned to the scene. Ecccleston sustained a number of accidents and was rushed to hospital, the place he was pronounced lifeless.

    Two males who had been travelling within the Nissan Serena additionally sustained accidents and had been transported by ambulance to hospital. Their situations aren’t but identified.

    The Salt Spring group has been left in shock, as residents mourn the passing of the well-known taxi operator.

    Police investigations are ongoing.
