    Suspect killed, others held in probe of Kevin Walker’s disappearance – Jamaica Inquirer

    A person was fatally shot, one other taken into custody, and three ladies detained as police intensify investigations into the disappearance of Kevin Walker, who’s presumed useless.

    The deceased has not but been formally recognized however is believed to be a person often called ‘Diamond,’ who was beforehand listed as an individual of curiosity. In the meantime, 19-year-old Tajay Thompson, often known as ‘Teco,’ has been apprehended.

    Police have recognized two remaining suspects — Lavar Whitter and a person recognized by the alias ‘Shano’ — who stay at giant.

    The police operation, led by members of the Kingston West Police, happened round 7:30 pm on Tuesday, February 11, close to Nuttall Avenue and Final Avenue within the Kingston West Police Division.

    In accordance with an announcement from the police, they intercepted a silver Toyota Probox that had been stolen earlier within the day within the Kingston Central Police Division. The car was reportedly being pushed recklessly when officers signalled it to cease. As an alternative, the occupants opened hearth on the police, prompting officers to return hearth.

    Through the change, the unidentified man, believed to be ‘Diamond,’ was shot and injured. He was transported to the Kingston Public Hospital, the place he was pronounced useless. ‘Teco’ was arrested on the scene.

    A 9mm pistol was recovered following the confrontation. The sufferer of the carjacking has since positively recognized the deceased because the individual answerable for the theft.

    With the arrest of ‘Teco,’ there at the moment are 4 individuals in custody in reference to the disappearance of Kevin Walker, who was reported lacking on February 2.

    “This night’s operation marks a big step ahead in advancing this case,” the police said. Investigators proceed to induce the remaining suspects to give up instantly.

    The police are interesting to Lavar Whitter and Shano to show themselves in. Anybody with info on their whereabouts is requested to contact Police Emergency at 119, Crime Cease at 311, the Nationwide Intelligence Bureau Tip Line at 811, or the closest police station.
