    St Andrew Municipal Corporation earmarks $31.4m for road, sidewalk upgrades – Jamaica Inquirer

    Mayor of Kingston, Councillor Andrew Swaby, addresses the month-to-month assembly of the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Company (KSAMC) on Tuesday (June 10). The sitting was held on the Company’s places of work in downtown Kingston.

    Mayor of Kingston, Councillor Andrew Swaby, has introduced that $31.4 million can be allotted to restore roads and sidewalks throughout divisions within the municipality.

    He offered a undertaking replace in the course of the month-to-month assembly of the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Company (KSAMC) on Tuesday (June 10). The sitting was held on the Company’s places of work in downtown Kingston.

    Councillor Swaby mentioned roughly 3,000 sq. metres of roadway have been authorized for repairs below the Divisional Allocation Fund at a value of $20.1 million.

    The work can be carried out at Park Lane, Whitehall Division; Plantation Avenue, Olympic Gardens Division; Three Oaks Highway, Hughenden Division, and the Chinese language Cemetery Highway, Whitfield City Division.

    Moreover, Councillor Swaby mentioned sidewalks alongside Modyford Highway and Phillip Avenue within the Seiveright Gardens Division, in addition to sidewalks within the Greenwich City Division, had been authorized for repairs at a value of $11.3 million. He famous that it will cowl 1,098 sq. metres.
