    SRHA implements contingency measures at facilities seeing increase in patients

    The Southern Regional Well being Authority, (SRHA) has carried out contingency measures, at amenities which can be being overwhelmed with sufferers, for the reason that passage of Hurricane Melissa.

    Regional Director Michael Bent acknowledged the frustration of individuals looking for medical care at hospitals and well being centres, particularly with the lengthy wait time.

    He identified that among the many causes for the overcrowding at some amenities, is the cutting down of operations on the Black River Hospital in St. Elizabeth after it was broken in the course of the storm.

    He mentioned , the amenities are seeing between 80 and a 100% elevated capability.

    Mr. Bent famous that the SRHA has organized for extra employees to be introduced in from different areas.
