San Luis Obispo County lawyer Saro Rizzo and React Alliance President Mandy Davis requested the federal authorities in June to terminate and search the return of unspent grant monies associated to offshore wind power in California due to misappropriation. Earlier at the moment, the federal authorities canceled a $427 million grant it had awarded to the Humboldt Harbor District for development of an industrial port.
Rizzo, the vp of REACT Alliance, identified “ample causes to terminate the grant and to demand a return of unspent disbursed funds from the Humboldt Harbor District.”

On Friday, the Trump administration introduced it was terminating $679 million in federal funding for 12 offshore wind initiatives, together with $427 million for the California undertaking. The cash was slated for use for staging, wind turbine meeting, and launching in Humboldt Bay.
The Trump administration can be canceling a $47 million grant for an offshore wind hub close to the Port of Baltimore in Maryland, $48 million grant for an offshore wind terminal undertaking in New York’s Staten Island, and $33 million for a port undertaking in Salem, Massachusetts – to help offshore wind power initiatives.
