    Jamaica’s Shanieka Ricketts produced a season-best leap of 14.54 metres on Saturday to win the ladies’s triple leap on the ultimate day of the Boris Hanzekovic Memorial in Zagreb, Croatia — the fourth World Athletics Continental Tour Gold assembly of the season.

    Ricketts, the Olympic silver medallist, secured victory along with her closing try, edging Slovenia’s Neja Filipic, who set a private better of 14.42m. Sweden’s Maja Åskag positioned third with 14.00m, whereas fellow Jamaican Ackelia Smith completed fourth with 13.84m.

    The win marked Ricketts’ second in every week, following her wind-assisted 14.72m triumph on the Doha Diamond League.

    Within the males’s 110m hurdles, Jamaica’s 2016 Olympic champion Omar McLeod took second place behind American Dylan Beard. Regardless of hitting a number of hurdles, Beard maintained his rhythm to win in 13.20 seconds, simply forward of McLeod’s 13.40.

    Jamaica’s Olympic silver medallist Wayne Pinnock positioned fourth within the males’s lengthy leap with a finest effort of seven.77m. Japan’s Yuki Hashioka gained with an eight-metre leap. Ethiopia’s Gudaf Tsegay, the reigning world 10,000m champion, returned to the 1500m distance with a dominant run, holding off 19-year-old compatriot Birke Haylom to win in a gathering report of three:58.14. Haylom completed in 3:59.19.

    On Friday, Jamaican Lamara Distin secured second place within the girls’s excessive leap with a clearance of 1.92m. The occasion was gained by Serbia’s Angelina Topić, who claimed victory along with her third try at 1.94m.
