    Semi-Automatic Pistol, Homemade Guns Seized During Police Operation in Kingston

    Kingston, Jamaica — A focused police operation in Tope Vary, Kingston 3, on Thursday morning led to the seizure of a number of unlawful firearms and diverse ammunition inside the St Andrew Central Policing Division.

    In line with studies from the Half Approach Tree Police, officers carried out a search between 4:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. alongside McIntosh Drive. In the course of the operation, lawmen reportedly found a purchasing bag positioned between a tree trunk whereas looking out premises within the space.

    The bag was examined and located to comprise a Colt semi-automatic pistol fitted with {a magazine} holding two .45 calibre cartridges.

    A subsequent search of the environment, assisted by members of the Canine Division, resulted within the discovery of 4 do-it-yourself firearms. Officers additionally seized forty-one 12-gauge cartridges, 9 9mm rounds, one .40 calibre cartridge, and one .22 calibre cartridge.

    No arrests had been made in reference to the seizure. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
