    Seiveright says Jamaica entered 2026 with renewed optimism

    State Minister for Trade, Funding and Commerce, Delano Seiveright says Jamaica has entered 2026 with renewed optimism, pointing to fast publish Hurricane Melissa restoration efforts and powerful macroeconomic fundamentals as key drivers of enterprise confidence.

    He famous that key nationwide infrastructure is working at or above 90 per cent, together with electrical energy, water, telecommunications and banking companies.

    Mr. Seiveright stated this degree of restoration, achieved in a comparatively quick interval following the class 5 hurricane, speaks to the resilience of Jamaica’s establishments and the sturdy coordination between public businesses, the personal sector and worldwide companions.
