    Section of Spanish Town Bypass to Be Closed for Culvert Replacement

    Commencing at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, the part of Spanish City Bypass between the roundabout at Jose Marti Technical Excessive College and Michael Manley Drive shall be closed.

    The closure, which is to facilitate the substitute of a failed culvert, shall be in impact till 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14.

    Supervisor of Communication and Buyer Providers on the Nationwide Works Company (NWA), Stephen Shaw, says {that a} part of the roadway has been compromised on account of a failed culvert throughout the width of the bypass.

    He says that the works on the weekend will see the broken culvert being eliminated and changed.

    In the course of the interval of closure motorists touring in direction of Previous Harbour Highway and environs, through the Spanish City Bypass, will take a slight proper to proceed on the primary highway in direction of Greendale / Twickenham Park, then left onto Michael Manley Drive (JUTC Depot Highway) after which proper onto Spanish City Bypass.

    The alternative will preserve for motorists travelling on the Spanish City Bypass in direction of Kingston.

    The NWA is advising motorists to train warning whereas utilizing the roadway through the interval of the works and observe the directions of flag individuals and posted indicators.
