    Rollout of Rural School Bus System on Track for September – Minister Vaz – Jamaica Information Service

    Minister of Science, Vitality, Telecommunications and Transport, Hon. Daryl Vaz, says the rollout of the agricultural faculty bus programme stays firmly on monitor for September 2025.

    He stated that the overall complement of 110 buses can be within the island by the top of July in time for the beginning of the brand new faculty 12 months.

    Fourteen models arrived within the island final Saturday (July 5) so as to add to the 26 that arrived on June 24, the Minister stated.

    “4 extra are at present enroute to Jamaica, 18 can be delivered by July 14, 28 can be delivered on July 22, and 20 can be delivered on July 29,” he knowledgeable.

    Minister Vaz was addressing a press convention on Tuesday (July 8) on the Petroleum Company of Jamaica (PCJ) Auditorium in New Kingston, to supply an replace on the programme.

    Mr. Vaz stated the batch of buses consists of 47 small models, which can seat 32 college students; 38 mid-sized buses with 54 seats; and 25 models with 72 seats.
